The mooring game is a tough one -

• First of all getting the right berth in this region is not easy, iIn the Solent area alone there are 1000’s of people actually on the waiting list for moorings and berths. Some patient people have been waiting for 10 years for a prime berth.
• Secondly, if you can get a mooring, then chances are it will be extortionately expensive.
• Thirdly it will be up river or tidal and will take you up to one hour to get to somewhere where you can put your sail up or increase your speed.
• Fourthly it will not have any security and you constantly worry over whether your boat is safe and secure.

Coastal Leisure has access to a selection of  marina moorings, which are available for long-term or short-term lease.
